1. Ask better questions. Now’s a great time to ask your team what’s working—and what isn’t. Not in a formal review, but in a casual check-in: What’s been the hardest part of this year so far? What would support you to end the year even more successfully? Where else could we focus our attention?
2. Share the why behind the work. Clarity builds confidence and purpose. Remind your team where the business is heading and how their work contributes. People are more committed when they see the bigger picture and understand the destination.
3. Model the behaviours you want to see. Burnt out? Coasting? Re-engage yourself first. What you model, your energy, boundaries, and communication, is what others will take into Q4.
