Pension & Benefits
If a workplace pension is done well, it is one of the most powerful tools you have to attract talented candidates, retain your best employees and demonstrate that your organisation genuinely values the people who work for it. Done poorly, it can become a compliance issue that costs you money along with a missed opportunity to drive employee loyalty.
At Omny Benefits, our independent workplace pension consultants help employers across the UK design, set up and manage pension schemes that do far more than satisfy the legal minimum. We work with you to build a retirement provision that supports your people’s long-term financial wellbeing and strengthens your position as an employer of choice.
Why Choose Omny Benefits as Your Workplace Pension Consultant
We Help You Understand Your Pensions
Most people receive their workplace pension details and have no idea what to do next. The provider’s website is rarely the answer, and most employees are too busy, too unsure, or too overwhelmed to ask. We can help make this easier on employers and employees.
One-to-One Financial Guidance for Your Employees
Understanding a pension is not straightforward for most employees. This can be even more prominent with younger workers who are further from retirement and find it harder to see the value. Our employee engagement programme includes one-to-one financial guidance sessions with our team, helping employees understand their pension, consolidate old pension pots, make informed investment choices and plan effectively for the future.
Ongoing Support as Your Business Grows
Setting up a pension scheme is the beginning of your employer obligations, not the end. We stay with you through re-enrolment, scheme reviews, provider benchmarking and regulatory updates. As your workforce grows and changes, we evolve your pension provision to keep pace.
We take a holistic approach to Pension & Benefits
Auto-Enrolment Setup and Compliance
We manage this process with you from start to finish. We explain the eligibility rules clearly, help you choose a scheme that fits your workforce and budget, support the payroll integration, draft employee communications in plain language and ensure you complete all required regulatory submissions on time. The result is a compliant, well-communicated pension scheme that your employees understand and value from day one.
Salary Exchange
We offer a free salary exchange calculator to help your business understand how much you could save through pension contributions, cycle to work schemes and other benefits. You can then speak to our team to see how we can support you setting up salary exchange for your employees.
Employee Communications and Pension Engagement
Our employee engagement service helps you communicate your pension scheme clearly and compellingly, from the initial onboarding communication to the annual benefits review statement. We create materials in simple, jargon-free language that explains what the scheme provides, how much the employer is contributing on their behalf and what actions employees can take to get more from their pension.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How much will a workplace pension scheme cost my business?
How much time will managing a pension scheme take?
How do I choose the right pension scheme for my employees?
Will my employees appreciate a workplace pension?
Absolutely! A workplace pension is consistently ranked as one of the most valued employee benefits. It shows you’re invested in their financial future, which can boost morale, attract top talent, and reduce turnover. With our employee engagement program, we offer one-to-one financial guidance to help employees understand their pensions and make informed decisions.
What if I already have a workplace pension scheme?
Do I have to provide a workplace pension even if I only have one employee?
Yes. Every UK employer, regardless of size, must automatically enrol eligible employees into a qualifying workplace pension scheme. The obligation begins on the first day you employ someone who meets the eligibility criteria. Failing to set up a scheme, or failing to enrol eligible employees, can result in fixed penalty notices and escalating daily fines from The Pensions Regulator.
We already have a workplace pension. Why would we review it?
Pension schemes can become outdated, poor value or misaligned with your workforce as your business changes. Common reasons to review include: charges that have increased or are higher than comparable market alternatives; a default investment fund that has underperformed relative to similar options; an administration platform that is difficult for HR to manage or employees to access; growth or restructuring in the business that has changed workforce demographics; or simply the fact that the scheme was set up some years ago without advice and has never been formally assessed.
How do you select a pension provider?
Because we are independent and not tied to any single provider or preferred panel, our selection process covers the full market. We assess providers across a range of criteria relevant to your specific business, including the annual management charge and other member fees, the quality and range of investment options including default fund design, the platform’s ease of use for both employer administrators and employees, the level of support and member communications provided by the provider, payroll integration compatibility and the provider’s regulatory standing and financial stability.
