Nicholas has, throughout his career, specialised in employment and employee relations law, acting for substantial employers in a broad spread of business sectors.

He is a seasoned Employment Tribunal advocate and was appointed as a part-time Employment Tribunal Chairman in 2001 (now called Employment Judge), resigning from that role in 2005 on the establishment of his own firm.

His specialist areas include employee relations, transfers of undertakings and business reorganisations, with a particular experience in maritime employment law and related disputes. He has advised a wide range of maritime organisations in relation to both crew and shoreside personnel.

In 2017 Nicholas stepped back from running his solicitors practice, and joined Outset Legal LLP, now part of the Omny Group as our Senior Consultant.
