This two day health and safety course is designed for individuals working as supervisors in the building, civil engineering and construction industries and for those individuals about to take up those responsibilities.
The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.
This course is intended for individuals working as supervisors in the building, civil engineering and construction industries.
The course will provide you with an understanding of health and safety law and how it applies to construction site supervisors.
It identifies your supervisory responsibilities in controlling a site safely through effective risk assessments, site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.
You will also learn about the monitoring of construction site activities in an effective manner and the importance of timely interventions to prevent incidents.

The examination paper is compulsory and consists of 25 questions, selected by CITB, covering all aspects of the course.
The examination pass mark is 80% (24 out of 30).
