CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher 2nd December

Course Aim

This one day health and safety refresher course is designed for individuals working as supervisors in the building, civil engineering and construction industries.

The course aims to bring health and safety knowledge up-to-date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace.

The course includes a wide range of topics which have been affected by changes to procedures, and builds upon the material in the original course.

To help site supervisors to:

• Supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role.
• Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare of workers on site.
• Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly.

Who Should Attend

This refresher course is intended for individuals for those delegates who have previously completed the CITB SSSTS course successfully.

Content of Course

The SSSTS refresher course will update your health and safety knowledge and provide you with a thorough overview of legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It will enable you to fulfil your responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and the environment on a construction site and implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your supervisory role.

In class course, duration 1 day.

Examination Information

There is a mandatory examination paper for this course consisting of 25 questions, selected by CITB, covering all aspects of the course.

The examination pass mark is 80% (24 out of 30).
