Lorraine is a specialist employment solicitor with over 20 years’ experience. At Omny Lorraine forms part of the senior management team and part of the driving force behind the business’ employment team.
Fulfilling a key role in Omny’s overall business development strategy and leadership, Lorraine’s focus extends to elevating team performance, client retention and relationship management. Her commercial approach underscores her commitment to driving Omny’s growth and success.
Throughout her career, Lorraine has been renowned for providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice and her ability to find workable solutions on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law issues throughout the complete employment life cycle.
Lorraine’s particular areas of expertise are the employment aspects of business transactions and senior executive disputes. She plays a key role in supporting our business transactions team on large-scale due diligence exercises; corporate transactions and TUPE processes alike. Lorraine is experienced in negotiating employment provisions in share and business purchase agreements, terms of employment in an acquisition context, as well as dealing with employment aspects of senior executive disputes. In addition to business transactions, Lorraine specialises in dealing with highly technical areas of law such as off-payroll working (IR35), national minimum wage, holiday pay, redundancies and restructures.
Lorraine has worked with a diverse range of clients from owner-manager, SMEs to large corporates and takes a lead role in the relationship with a number of key clients. Lorraine has a huge depth of experience across healthcare, including dental and veterinary, advising widely on specialist contractual and related regulatory provision and employment status. Lorraine also has particular expertise and experience in the hospitality sector, working with Michels & Taylor to advise hotel management+- groups UK wide and smaller privately owned hotel groups.
